Van is a North Dakota boy with strong family ties to Idaho. Having grown up in NoDak, he is familiar with and appreciates the Idaho tie to the agricultural community. Prior to getting back into the insurance industry, Van spent ten years working as an engineer with a division of John Deere. He is very active in his children's lives and his church.
