FBMICI Announces Name Change to Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho

Farm bureau insurance company of Idaho name change announcement

Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho, a leading provider of insurance solutions for Idaho families, farms, and businesses, today announced a significant milestone in its history. Effective April 1, 2024, the company will officially change its name to Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho. This change comes as part of the company’s commitment to continued improvement and adaptation to the evolving insurance industry landscape.

The decision marks the first name change for the company since 1956. Originally established in 1947 as Idaho Farm Bureau Insurance Company, the company transitioned to Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho 68 years ago when it became a mutual company owned by its policyholders. Now, with this latest transformation, Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho will continue its mission of protecting what matters most to Idaho families, farms, and businesses under a new name.

The company has stayed true to this mission for over 76 years and, in the process, grown into the largest property casualty insurer headquartered in Idaho. It consistently ranks in the top three in overall premium among property casualty insurers in the state.

“We are excited to announce this pivotal moment in our company’s history,” said Todd Argall, Executive Vice President and CEO of Farm Bureau Insurance Company of Idaho. “The name change reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and our dedication to providing exceptional customer service to Idaho families, farms, and businesses.”
