Crop Specialist Agent
Position Summary
Meet with existing and potential clients to help them understand the Multi-Peril Crop and Crop Hail Insurance program.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Review existing insurance policies to determine client’s exposure and coverage options each year.
- Provide potential clients with a clear understanding of how Multi-Peril and Crop Hail Insurance work and how it can apply to them.
- Help clients complete and submit their Production Reports
- Help clients complete and submit their Acreage Reports.
- Submit claims as reported and help client understand all options available on the crop insurance programs.
- Contact insured or other involved persons to obtain missing information.
- Understand how the Multi-Peril and Crop Hail program works and notifying client of upcoming deadlines.
- Miscellaneous tasks as directed.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
Experience: Background in agriculture and farming practices. Be able to understand and read FSA 578 reports and maps. Some sales background helpful. Knowledge in livestock and dairy a plus.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Other: Standard driver’s license (Class D) and P & C License.
