Regional Vice President (Wyoming, Montana, Colorado)
Position Summary
The Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for the overall profitable sales growth, leadership, and strategic execution of business objectives within an assigned region. The RVP serves as a key member of the sales leadership team and is accountable for driving premium growth, agency development, customer retention, talent development, operational excellence, and for key business partner relationships like the state and county Farm Bureau federations, Farm Bureau Financial Services, Blue Cross, etc.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Strategic Regional Leadership – Develop and execute regional business plans aligned with company objectives and strategic initiatives. – Identify market opportunities and implement growth strategies to increase market share and profitability. – Analyze business trends, competitive factors, and agency performance to drive informed decision-making. – Partner with executive leadership to support long-term organizational goals and initiatives.
- Profitable Sales Growth – Drive profitable premium growth across all product lines. – Monitor and manage regional performance against established sales, retention, and profitability goals. – Develop and implement corrective action plans for underperforming territories. – Ensure adherence to underwriting, compliance, and operational standards.
- Agency Recruitment, Retention, and Development – Lead regional recruiting efforts to attract and retain high-performing insurance professionals. – Partner with District Managers to build and maintain a strong agency force. – Establish and execute succession plans for agents and leadership positions. – Support onboarding, training, and development initiatives to ensure agent success.
- Leadership and Talent Development – Lead, coach, and develop District Managers and other assigned team members. – Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth. – Identify and develop future leaders within the organization. – Conduct regular performance reviews and development planning discussions.
- Financial and Operational Accountability – Manage regional resources and budgets responsibly. – Monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics. – Utilize data and analytics to improve business outcomes. – Ensure efficient execution of operational processes and company initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with Marketing, Underwriting, Claims, Service, and Executive Leadership teams to achieve business objectives. – Serve as a liaison between field operations and corporate leadership. – Promote communication and collaboration across departments.
- Culture and Organizational Leadership – Champion the company’s mission, vision, and values. – Foster a culture centered on service, integrity, professionalism, and results. – Lead organizational change initiatives and support transformation efforts. – Promote employee engagement and positive organizational culture throughout the region.
- Additional Responsibilities – Represent the company at industry, community, federation, and organizational events. – Participate in strategic planning sessions and leadership meetings. – Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of progressive insurance sales leadership experience. Minimum 5 years leading multi-location sales teams, agency operations, or field leadership organizations. Demonstrated success in driving profitable growth and developing leaders. Proven ability to execute strategic business initiatives and achieve measurable results.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Certificates & Licenses: Licensed in required states in all product lines offered by the Company. FINRA series 6, 63 and 26 preferred. Designation in LUTCF, CLU, CHFC, CPCU, CIC, preferred.
Other: Driver’s license and satisfactory motor vehicle record. Ability to travel extensively throughout assigned region.
