Material Damage Office Claims Representative
Position Summary
We provide financial peace of mind to Idaho families, farms and businesses by protecting what matters most. The Underwriting position is to evaluate degree of risk and determine acceptability. Underwriting team members will participate and collaborate in managing a profitable territory.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Manage and resolve claims involving physical material damage.
- Review insurance policy to determine coverage and limits.
- Communicate with policyholders and claimants to gather information regarding claims.
- Set and maintain reserves adequately.
- Prepare insurance claim forms and related documents and review them for completeness.
- Provide customer service, such as instructions on proceeding with claims or referrals to auto
repair facilities or local contractors.
- Organize and work with detailed office records, using computers to enter, access, search and
retrieve data.
- Post or attach information to claim file.
- Identify potential suspicious claims and refer to SIU.
- Identify opportunities for subrogation.
- Calculate amount of claim.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Diploma or GED – Some college preferred.
Preferred experience: Four years comparable experience in auto, or other areas pertinent to
insurance claims.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Other Requirements: Participate in industry courses such as AIC and/or CPCU.
