Examples of information from a consumer-reporting agency include creditworthiness and credit history. Farm Bureau® Insurance Company of Idaho and Western Community Insurance Company (Insurers) may collect different information than Farm Bureau® Finance Company (Finance Company).
We also collect statistical or aggregated information and technical information about your internet connection and usage details. If we combine non-personal statistical or technical data with personal information so that it directly or indirectly identifies an individual, we treat the combined information as personal information.
How We Collect Information
Information You Provide to Us. We collect information about you when you interact with our services, such as when you create or update an account, apply for insurance or financing, make a payment, file a claim, participate in surveys or promotions, or communicate with us by phone, email, or other means.
Information Collected Automatically. As you navigate through and interact with our services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect information that may include personal information. Information collected automatically may include usage details, IP addresses, operating system, browser type, and information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies. Using automatic collection technologies helps us to improve our services and to deliver a better and more personalized experience.

If you request us to do so, we may provide some of this information to your lender as part of the normal process of insuring their interest in your property. Information about the sharing practices of the lender may be contained in their loan papers or a privacy statement. We may also share limited information about our transactions and experiences with you among our affiliated companies. If you are paying your premium under a premium finance loan, our Insurers and Finance Company share this information about you. If we share your personal information with an affiliated company they are also bound by this same policy on privacy. When you apply for a loan on property we insure, we may obtain a copy of the loan application and the lender’s decision. By submitting an application for insurance you consent to this process.
We may obtain or give information about you to credit or loss information bureaus. We may also provide limited information about you to third parties when necessary or appropriate to service an insurance policy we have issued (such as inquiries from a lender or additional insureds listed on the policy or to address claims submitted under a policy we have issued). These parties include: agents, insurance support organizations, attorneys, independent claim adjusters, third-party claims service providers, medical providers, and businesses that conduct actuarial or research studies.

Idaho Farm Bureau® Federation, Inc.
A requirement for purchasing insurance with us is that you become a member of a county Farm Bureau, which is affiliated with the Idaho Farm Bureau® Federation, Inc. As part of the application process, Idaho Farm Bureau® Federation, Inc. independently obtained your name and names of household members (and dates of birth), address, telephone number, commodity information (if you are a farmer) and policy expiration date. They may have also obtained your e-mail address. Although this Policy does not apply to them, they have committed to keep this information strictly confidential. They may, however, disclose some of this information to their affiliated companies or to others that may offer products or services to you.
Data Retention
We keep the categories of personal information described in this Policy for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described or for as otherwise legally permitted or required, such as maintaining our services, operating our organization, complying with our legal obligations, resolving disputes, and for safety, security, and fraud prevention. This means that we consider our legal and business obligations, potential risks of harm, and nature of the information when deciding how long to retain personal information. At the end of the retention period, personal information will be deleted, destroyed, or deidentified.

Advertising, Marketing, Cookies, and Other Tracking Technologies Choices

If you disable or refuse cookies or similar tracking files, some services features may be inaccessible or not function properly.
