Sales and Agent Support Desk Specialist


Department: Sales & Marketing                                          Job Status: Full Time

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt                                                  Reports To: Sales Operations Manager

Grade/Level: NA                                                                Amount of Travel Required: 5-10%

Job Type: Regular                                                               Positions Supervised: None

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday; Overtime as needed.



Assist the Agent Support Desk, assist with various Sales tasks, provide support to customers as needed.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

Agent Support Desk

  • Handle incoming calls from agents, and agent business related calls.
  • Administer the “Refer a Friend” program.
  • Administer new business referral distributions.
  • Bind coverage as needed.

Inside Sales

  • Inbound Sales and Service calls from policyholders.
  • Follow up on assigned leads and sales opportunities.
  • Outbound welcome calls.
  • Quoting Business.

Agent Transition Support 

  • Aid during the onboarding or termination of an agent, or an agent staff member.
  • Book of Business transition support.
  • Assist in development of agent programs to include Sales and Marketing
  • Miscellaneous tasks as directed.

Education:                 High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Some College: Preferred

Experience:               Sales experience preferred.

Licenses:                     Licensed in P&C and Life; must obtain within the first three months of position start date.

Computer Skills:    Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint. Proficient in Adobe products, specifically Adobe Acrobat Pro DC, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign.
